Burkholder's story began in 1939, when Eber Burkholder founded Burkholder's Flooring with a simple goal: provide quality flooring, fair value, and dependable service. As the company grew, longtime employees helped carry those values forward while building strong relationships with customers and the community.
Over the years, longtime team members Anita Hornbaker and Marlin Grove became shareholders. In 2011, Arvin Eby purchased the remaining shares from the Burkholder family, continuing the tradition of employee ownership and local leadership. When Marlin retired in 2020, longtime team member Dusty Stockslager joined the ownership team. Following Arvin's retirement in 2023, Anita and Dusty continued that legacy as Burkholder's leadership team.
While the names and faces have changed over the decades, the values established by Eber Burkholder—quality, fair value, knowledgeable service, and a commitment to customers—continue to guide our team today.
Today, Burkholder's Flooring America combines the experience of a longstanding local flooring company with a modern showroom and shopping experience. Anita and Dusty have led a major showroom renovation and introduced Flooring America's Retail 2.0 shopping experience, giving customers an inviting place to explore flooring and find inspiration for their homes or businesses.
