Since 1939, Burkholder's Flooring America has proudly served the Tri-State area with quality flooring, outstanding value, and friendly, knowledgeable service. More than 85 years later, those same values continue to guide everything we do.

Our story began when Eber Burkholder founded Burkholder's Flooring with a simple commitment: provide customers with quality products, fair value, and service they could trust. As the company grew, that commitment was carried forward not by outside investors, but by the people who knew the business best—our longtime employees.

Over the years, longtime team members Anita Hornbaker and Marlin Grove became shareholders in the company. In 2011, Arvin Eby purchased the remaining shares from the Burkholder family, continuing the tradition of employee ownership and local leadership. When Marlin retired in 2020, longtime team member Dusty Stockslager joined the ownership team. Following Arvin's retirement in 2023, Anita and Dusty continued that legacy as Burkholder's leadership team.

That continuity is an important part of who we are. For generations, Burkholder's has been passed from people who worked in the business to people who worked alongside them—people who know our customers, our community, and the flooring industry firsthand. While the names and faces have changed over the years, our commitment to the values established by Eber Burkholder has remained.

Today, we continue to build on that legacy. Anita and Dusty have led a major showroom renovation, introduced Flooring America's new Retail 2.0 shopping experience, and continue to invest in providing our customers with the products, expertise, and service they deserve.
